Collection: 3D knitwear by GECCÙ

For well over 40 years, Melbourne knitwear manufacturer Geccu has been developing fine quality and unique 3D textured knitwear. Geccu was established by one of Australia’s great pioneers of knitwear technology, Con Skapetis, former head knitter at Coogi, where he co-developed the revolutionary and distinctive 3D knitting technique. Geccu is now a family affair, with the next generation of Skapetis continuing the tradition of their founding father who is still very hands on! Together, they continue to experiment with colour and texture and push the technical boundaries of knitwear and collaborate with local fashion houses and designers from their base in Brunswick. 

The Mr Smart Melbourne Geccu Collection captures some of this wonderful heritage, with several of these colour combinations no longer in production. All of these knits are made of fine merino wool, ethically produced in Australia and represent some of the best qualities of slow fashion.
